What Type Of Exhaust Systems Does ARH Have For My Vehicle
American Racing Headers provides exhaust systems for the vast and diverse vehicles across the Automotive Market. With each vehicle's unique and specific engineering needs, ARH has developed exhaust systems to deliver the peak performance each vehicle calls for. To understand what exhaust solution works best for you we recommend speaking with one of Techs today!
American Racing Headers Offers:
Full Systems- These systems have everything you will need for a complete exhaust system from headers to tailpipes.
Long Systems: Our Long Systems include headers, a mid section (X-Pipe or H-Pipe), and rear connection pipes to connect to your existing axle back.
Mid Length Systems: These systems include headers and connection pipes to your existing exhaust mid-section.
Shorty Headers: Shorty Headers are known for their manifold like design but offer optimal power and performance while maintaining the factory fitment.
Catbacks: Catback systems are typically installed to enhance the sound of the vehicle with some performance gains. These systems have mufflers, connection pipes, mid sections (X-Pipe or H-Pipe) and tips (if applicable).
What size tubing should I use for my primaries on my exhaust system?
Choosing your correct primary diameter is critical and will affect the performance of your exhaust system, but keep in mind that bigger is not always better. Using tubing that is too large can actually hinder exhaust scavenging by slowing the velocity of exhaust pulses in the tubing, this resulting in a loss of torque and horsepower.
When choosing the correct tubing size for your vehicle's exhaust system these are some guidelines for choosing the primary size in respect to engine power:
Engine Horsepower Chart:
200HP-350HP : 1-5/8" tubing
300HP-575HP : 1-3/4" tubing
400HP-800HP : 1-7/8" tubing
700HP– +1000HP: 2" tubing

Why Does 304 Stainless Steel Work Best for Exhaust Systems?
304 stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion and rust from exhaust gases and the elements. With the ability to withstand high temperatures, 304 stainless steel is ideal for exhaust systems since they will experience extreme heat during use. The strength and durability of 304 stainless steel makes it a reliable choice for automotive exhaust systems, withstanding the stress and vibrations of use from track use as well.
Should I have my headers or exhaust wrapped?
While we understand the desire and reasoning behind wrapping exhaust parts, we at ARH do not feel it is necessary to do so. Due to our product's 304 Stainless Steel construction wrapping headers would not be a benefit for your system. If you chose to wrap them it will not hinder your vehicle's performance.
